Ryan Broyles Launches Project 84 to Provide Local Families with Thanksgiving Dinners
November 4, 2013; DETROIT, MI: On Friday, November 22, Detroit Lions wide receiver Ryan Broyles will
provide 84 families with Thanksgiving dinners to pick up and take home to their families at 1:00pm at
the Eastern Market (2934 Russell St, Detroit) inside Shed 5. Broyles will provide the first 84 families who
arrive at the Eastern Market with a full Thanksgiving meal through his new foundation.
To help raise funds for this effort, Broyles launched Project 84, where he is selling Ryan Broyles
Foundation tee shirts that can be purchased on www.RyanLBroyles.com for $25 each. Each tee shirt sold
will feed one Metro Detroit family this Thanksgiving.
“It has always been a dream of mine to launch my own foundation, and I couldn’t be more excited
to start giving back to the local community,” said Broyles. “The fans in Detroit have been extremely
welcoming and supportive of me, and I’m very fortunate to be in a position where I can give families
in this community a memorable Thanksgiving. People have already been purchasing T-shirts to help
support this effort and it’s humbling to see them donate their money to help their neighbors during the
The first 84 families who arrive at the Eastern Market beginning at 1:00pm on November 22 will receive
a full Thanksgiving meal, including turkey, stuffing, corn, macaroni and cheese, muffin mix, cranberry
sauce and mashed potatoes. The meals will be pre-bagged for families to take home.
